Adel Stambouli ran back to his position shaking his head. If Issam Slimane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Abdallah Sboui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rachid Gharbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mehdi Ben M'hadhebi fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shepton Mallet AFC's protests and gave Mehdi Ben M'hadhebi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Shepton Mallet AFC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Mehdi Ben M'hadhebi hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Fairfield FC defense, Adel Stambouli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mohamed Haithem. The Fairfield FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mohamed Haithem should have stopped the shot. Khaled Mzoughi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rachid Gharbi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Adel Stambouli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st match minute, Shepton Mallet AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kamel Mzali to maneuver through the defense. After 44 minutes Shepton Mallet AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Francileudo Mechergui who took care of the corner kick. Faouzi Nafti was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Issam Slimane made a kick off. Khaled Mzoughi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdallah Sboui in the 51st minute of the match. Rachid Gharbi struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Khaled Mzoughi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fairfield FC. 0-2 became the score in the 59th minute when Issam Slimane elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Khaled Mzoughi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdallah Sboui, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Fairfield FC's Rachid Gharbi got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mohamed Haithem was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Issam Slimane showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 79 minute of play. Rachid Gharbi hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Khaled Mzoughi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdallah Sboui in the 92nd minute of play. Rachid Gharbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Shepton Mallet AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
