Adel Gmamdia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haykel Bourguiba hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Abderrahim Melliti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 minutes of play, Jarrow's Abderrahim Melliti made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdallah Zidane was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 16th minute, Tarak Baly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the game, Hassen Clayton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Hedi Amira Nafti was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 27 minutes into the game, Haykel Bourguiba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jarrow's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thornbury FC the free kick. After 27 played minutes Jarrow got a freekick which was hit by Haykel Bourguiba. Hassen Clayton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Hedi Amira Nafti made a huge save. Thornbury FC's Mohamed Stambouli got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tarak Baly hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Thornbury FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abderrahim Melliti came free, but Abdallah Zidane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Kaies Mzali was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thornbury FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jarrow the free kick. In the 45th match minute, Thornbury FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hassen Clayton to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mohamed Stambouli to make the kick off. Hedi Amira Nafti came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Thornbury FC's Hassen Clayton. But to his dismay, Hassen Clayton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Hassen Clayton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hedi Amira Nafti having to make a save. In the 63rdth minute of the game Mohamed Stambouli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jarrow's Hedi Amira Nafti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jarrow's Chedi Sguir got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 69 minutes, Hassen Clayton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thornbury FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hassen Clayton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mohamed Stambouli in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hedi Amira Nafti saved Jarrow from getting behind. Chedi Sguir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Abdallah Zidane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Thornbury FC's zone, Chedi Sguir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdallah Zidane came out of the goal and Chedi Sguir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Abderrahim Melliti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jarrow's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abderrahim Melliti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute Mohamed Stambouli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hedi Amira Nafti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdallah Zidane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abderrahim Melliti in the 87th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Abderrahim Melliti notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Thornbury FC's Abdallah Zidane. Abdallah Zidane was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Laamari Badra kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Hassen Clayton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thornbury FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2.
