Mohamed Aouichaoui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kais Ali Bourguiba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kais Ali Bourguiba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Mohamed Aouichaoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bahi Benachour got free with Ali Bouazizi in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 8 minutes into the match, Staveley's goal looked a bit too open when Adel Chaldun came free, but Mohamed Aouichaoui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 8 minutes, Oussama Trabelsi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Staveley and the Horfield FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Horfield FC booed when Staveley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oussama Trabelsi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adel Chaldun might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mohamed Aouichaoui. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adel Chaldun ran back to his position shaking his head. If Adel Chaldun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kais Ali Bourguiba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Aouichaoui having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Kais Ali Bourguiba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Horfield FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Kais Ali Bourguiba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mohamed Hammami to make the kick off. Horfield FC's Ali Bouazizi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Hammami in the 52nd minute of play. Bahi Benachour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Bouazizi having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Bahi Benachour made a precise shot to the right of Ali Bouazizi. Horfield FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 59 minutes into the match, Staveley's goalkeeper Mohamed Aouichaoui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kais Ali Bourguiba. In the 61st minute, Bahi Benachour got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Staveley:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Horfield FC:s goal. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Horfield FC. Néji Saidi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mohamed Aouichaoui. 1-3. Horfield FC's Ali Bouazizi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Hammami in the 72nd minute of play. Ali Bouazizi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bahi Benachour went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Yassine BenAmor charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yassine BenAmor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Staveley's Yassine BenAmor got a free kick in the 98th minute.
