The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Henley on Thames United's Abdelwahab Mrabet got a free kick in the 21st minute. Mohammed Chiba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamdi Gtari in the 23rd minute of the match. Mohammed Chiba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Med Ali Beya , who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Hamdi Gtari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alaeddine Hadrioui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Jaber having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Henley on Thames United's zone, Med Ali Beya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohammed Chiba came out of the goal and Med Ali Beya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The South Woodham Ferrers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
