The audience thought a goal was coming when Slaheddine Ben Ammar got free with Adel Mrabet in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th match minute, Colne AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mokhtar Chaar to maneuver through the defense. Hedi Ladgham was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 34 minutes into the match. After 35 played minutes Haydock United got a freekick which was hit by Hedi Ladgham. Aymen El Bez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anouar Srarfi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Slaheddine Ben Ammar got free with Adel Mrabet in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walid El Hadrioui during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ibrahim Essafi made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Haydock United got a freekick which was hit by Anis Habib Benfrej. Adel Mrabet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Slaheddine Ben Ammar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute Ibrahim Essafi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adel Mrabet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Colne AFC's Aymen El Bez got control of the ball when Anouar Srarfi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Colne AFC's Ali Achab got a free kick in the 68th minute. Colne AFC's Slaheddine Ben Ammar got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Anouar Srarfi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Haydock United's Adel Mrabet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Slaheddine Ben Ammar in the 81st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Colne AFC's zone, Anouar Srarfi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aymen El Bez came out of the goal and Anouar Srarfi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anouar Srarfi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anouar Srarfis short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Aymen El Bez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 88 minutes, Abdelkarim Srarfi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haydock United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdelkarim Srarfi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Colne AFC's Aymen El Bez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Colne AFC from getting a goal against them. Ibrahim Essafi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Haydock United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
