Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Haslingfield's Fathi Salem started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Mohammed Ayari came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Gedling City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohammed Ayari couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the game, Med Jennet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haslingfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gedling City the free kick. The supporters of Gedling City booed when Haslingfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Med Jennet didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Med Jennet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, Hamdi Gtari sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Haslingfield's Abdallah Farhat didn't even have to move. Habib Braham who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Abdallah Farhat when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Haslingfield:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gedling City:s goal. Abdallah Farhat went to the wrong direction when Hamdi Gtari was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Habib Braham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohammed Ayari struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Abdallah Farhat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gedling City. Habib Brahams short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Abdallah Farhat to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 30th minute, Habib Braham made a precise shot to the right of Abdallah Farhat. Haslingfield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Zoubeir Sellami fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khaled Bourguiba having to interfere. Najeh Kallel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Abdallah Farhat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gedling City's Hamdi Gtari got a free kick in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mohammed Ayari to make the kick off. Mohammed Ayari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdallah Farhat having to interfere. Abdallah Farhat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammed Ayari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zoubeir Sellami sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Zoubeir Sellami got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 66 minutes into the match, Haslingfield's goal looked a bit too open when Mohammed Ayari came free, but Abdallah Farhat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haslingfield's Zoubeir Sellami got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gedling City had played much better football throughout.
