With a little luck, Oxford's Mokhtar Ziadi got control of the ball when Slaheddine Cherif tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Staines booed when Oxford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 69 played minutes, Staines's Haythem Gharbi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mokhtar Ziadi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Staines reached it. If Slaheddine Cherif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Slaheddine Cherif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mokhtar Ziadi having to interfere. Youssef Ben Karray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aymen Hammami in the 88th minute of the match. Slaheddine Cherif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Mokhtar Ziadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Khaled Hammami succeeded in the game's 96th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0.
