Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mohamed Cherni started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoubaier Naoui in the 2nd minute of play forced St Agnes United's goalkeeper Hedi Benslimane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hatem Essediri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in St Agnes United's zone, Blaise Ghariani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hedi Benslimane came out of the goal and Blaise Ghariani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sahbi Ben Salem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rachid Jaziri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sahbi Ben Salem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohamed Cherni in the 13th minute of the match. Hedi Benslimane acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mohieddine Yahia. After some careless play in the Southwold defense, Rachid Jaziri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sahbi Ben Salem. The Southwold fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sahbi Ben Salem should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute Mohamed Cherni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sahbi Ben Salem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Hatem Essediri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Southwold's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave St Agnes United the free kick. The supporters of St Agnes United booed when Southwold was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hatem Essediri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Southwold's Blaise Ghariani suffered a concussion after 33 minutes and had to leave the field. Abdelbaki Belgacem's late challenge caught a Southwold's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdelbaki Belgacem helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, St Agnes United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdelbaki Belgacem to maneuver through the defense. When Mohamed Cherni came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the St Agnes United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohamed Cherni couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Muhammad Mestiri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A long shot from Said Ben Mbarek in the 59th minute of play was well struck, but Sahbi Ben Salem made a really good save at the right post. Rachid Jaziri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sahbi Ben Salem having to interfere. When Mohamed Cherni fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored St Agnes United's protests and gave Mohamed Cherni a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to St Agnes United getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Mohamed Cherni hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as St Agnes United's Mohamed Cherni slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sahbi Ben Salem. That made the score 0-2 after 72 minutes of play. With a little luck, Southwold's Sahbi Ben Salem got control of the ball when Rachid Jaziri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Southwold's Hatem Essediri got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Hatem Essediri off the ground. In the 78th minute, Hatem Essediri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ben Sellami during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th match minute, St Agnes United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ben Sellami to maneuver through the defense. Hedi Benslimane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zoubaier Naoui in the 85th minute of play. Mohamed Cherni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Southwold's goalkeeper Sahbi Ben Salem had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rachid Jaziri. Mohamed Cherni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Sahbi Ben Salem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sahbi Ben Salem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Cherni, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Mohamed Cherni might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sahbi Ben Salem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mohamed Cherni ran back to his position shaking his head. The Southwold supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching St Agnes United's performance. The match ended with a win for St Agnes United.
