Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ahmed Gharbi started the match with the kick off. Sahbi Karoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ben Rostom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Kameleddine Kalaï came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Nailsea's Dali Boukadida . But to his dismay, Dali Boukadida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Sahbi Karoui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Northampton's supporters rose to their feet, but Sahbi Karoui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Rostom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chokri Jaziri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Rostom having to interfere. Sahbi Karoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, Mehdi Hicheri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nailsea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Northampton the free kick. In the 45th match minute, Nailsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehdi Hicheri to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sahbi Karoui made a kick off. In the 51st minute Sahbi Karoui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Rostom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Sahbi Karoui fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ben Rostom, passed just outside the right post. Ben Rostom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sahbi Karoui in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Mehdi Jaziri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Ahmed Gharbi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nailsea fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Gharbi in the 79th minute of play forced Northampton's goalkeeper Kameleddine Kalaï to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nailsea's Dali Boukadida got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Nailsea's goal looked a bit too open when Sahbi Karoui came free, but Ben Rostom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kameleddine Kalaï took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Gharbi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Mongi Sfar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Northampton booed when Nailsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karim Chippo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute Houcine Amri managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Ahmed Gharbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kameleddine Kalaï showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmed Gharbi in the 96th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Northampton players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nailsea.
