The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Birmingham Selly Oak FC. When the match had been going on for 26 minutes, Stanford le Hope's Hédi Neifar got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Haykel Abdelkader. 28 minutes into the match, Birmingham Selly Oak FC's goal looked a bit too open when Blaise Akimi came free, but Haykel Abdelkader reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Chokri Nefzi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Haykel Abdelkader. Birmingham Selly Oak FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chokri Nefzi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stanford le Hope's goalkeeper Jose Gasmi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Mehdi Melliti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mehdi Melliti to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Stanford le Hope was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ayèche al-Husain to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Birmingham Selly Oak FC's Hedi Bourguiba got a free kick in the 55th minute. Blaise Akimi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haykel Abdelkader having to interfere. Haykel Abdelkader made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chokri Nefzi in the 61st minute of play. Haykel Abdelkader showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blaise Akimi in the 78th minute of the match. Stanford le Hope's Blaise Akimi got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Blaise Akimi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haykel Abdelkader having to interfere. When Bahi Aouichaoui came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Birmingham Selly Oak FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bahi Aouichaoui couldn't finish the play. Hedi Bourguiba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Stanford le Hope's Chokri Nefzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Haykel Abdelkader made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Bahi Aouichaoui kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
