In the 3rd minute, South Woodham Ferrers AFC's Abdallah Ladgham dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Fathi Bargawi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Sahbi Mkacher when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, South Woodham Ferrers AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fadhel Hammami came free, but Blaise Boumnijel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes South Woodham Ferrers AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mokhtar Ghannem. Whitstable's Sahbi Mkacher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Whitstable from getting a goal against them. Chokri Ishola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Blaise Boumnijel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the South Woodham Ferrers AFC defense, Chokri Ishola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blaise Boumnijel. The South Woodham Ferrers AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blaise Boumnijel should have stopped the shot. If Fathi Bargawi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdallah Ladgham might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sahbi Mkacher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abdallah Ladgham ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdallah Ladgham to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Abdallah Ladgham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Woodham Ferrers AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdallah Ladgham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sahbi Mkacher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdallah Ladgham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sahbi Mkacher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdallah Ladgham in the 61st minute of play. When Mohammed Rostom fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Whitstable's protests and gave Mohammed Rostom a yellow card for diving instead. Ahmed Aouichaoui's late challenge caught a South Woodham Ferrers AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmed Aouichaoui helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave South Woodham Ferrers AFC a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Riadh Djait, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Whitstable's Sahbi Mkacher. 2-1. With a little luck, South Woodham Ferrers AFC's Blaise Boumnijel got control of the ball when Chokri Ishola tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, South Woodham Ferrers AFC's goalkeeper Blaise Boumnijel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chokri Ishola.
