But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radhi Chedli couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Beckford City's zone, Radhi Chedli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rashid Essafi came out of the goal and Radhi Chedli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sofiène Jemâa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Radhi Chedli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rashid Essafi having to interfere. If Radhi Chedli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Slim Ben Bouzayène managed to get in a good position for a shot. Battle City's supporters rose to their feet, but Slim Ben Bouzayène was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rashid Essafi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Slim Ben Bouzayène in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rashid Essafi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mohamed Mechemeche hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Mohamed Mechemeche's late challenge caught a Beckford City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mohamed Mechemeche helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Battle City getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Mohamed Mechemeche hit a great ball. With a little luck, Battle City's Yassine Aziza got control of the ball when Ali Mrabet tried to sneak it across the goal line. Beckford City's Rashid Essafi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radhi Chedli in the 96th minute of play. Although Battle City had been in control for most of the match, Beckford City still came away with the win.
