The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Chedli got free with Mohamed Ali Ben Zid in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Issam Neifar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohamed Ali Ben Zid made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Chedli in the 9th minute. Mohamed Ali Ben Zid didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrick Chedli went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Zine Jelassi kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Wissem Ben Karoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Mohamed Ali Ben Zid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sabri Dhouib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Wissem Ben Karoui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sabri Dhouib hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tarak Essediri got free with Mohamed Ali Ben Zid in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the game, Cleator Moor FC's Sabri Dhouib nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hedi Souayah made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Sabri Dhouib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wissem Ben Karoui made a kick off. Sabri Dhouib received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Hedi Souayah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Wissem Ben Karoui notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Cleator Moor FC's Mohamed Ali Ben Zid. Mohamed Ali Ben Zid was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 60th match minute, Cleator Moor FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jemeleddine Jaziri to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Issam Neifar took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Hedi Souayah to make any attempt to save it. Whitton City's Hedi Souayah proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Whitton City from getting a goal against them. Chokri Zahaf kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Cleator Moor FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wissem Ben Karoui came free, but Mohamed Ali Ben Zid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabri Dhouib fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hedi Souayah having to interfere. 89 minutes in the game, Issam Neifar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hedi Souayah having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Sabri Dhouib managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cleator Moor FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabri Dhouib was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute Issam Neifar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hedi Souayah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Riadh Younes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mohamed Ali Ben Zid was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
