An unexpectedly hard shot by Taher Meriah in the 3rd minute of play forced Islington's goalkeeper Ali Boumnijel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khaled Ben Dhia in the 7th minute of play forced Birch House's goalkeeper Ahmed Mrabet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Islington booed when Birch House was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Clayton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 minutes Birch House's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dali Ameur who took care of the corner kick. Dhaker Belkahia hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Majed Guelbi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birch House's Ahmed Mrabet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Majed Guelbi in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Islington's goalkeeper Ali Boumnijel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dhaker Belkahia. Taher Meriah received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ali Boumnijel came out and tried to block the shot, but Taher Meriah slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 41st minute.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Khaled Ben Dhia made a kick off. Ali Boumnijel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taher Meriah in the 51st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Dhaker Belkahia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Birch House's supporters rose to their feet, but Dhaker Belkahia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Boumnijel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dhaker Belkahia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ali Boumnijel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Majed Guelbi got free with Ahmed Mrabet in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th match minute, Birch House was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Jaidi to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute Khaled Ben Dhia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Mrabet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroune Khemili in the 88th minute of play forced Birch House's goalkeeper Ahmed Mrabet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khaled Ben Dhia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Mrabet having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
