Hamdi Adhoum blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aymen Boumnijel having to make a save. The supporters of Sandown booed when Rayleigh United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehdi Ben Hleli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandown's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Abderrahim Chedli 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rayleigh United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
