The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Salah Belhaj Souayati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Hassan Slim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karim Ammar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Houcine Ragued having to interfere. Salah Belhaj Souayati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Hassan Slim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Heithem Adhoum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Houcine Ragued took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Jbara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st match minute, Rodley AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zoubair Ghigani to maneuver through the defense. Hassan Slim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salah Belhaj Souayati in the 23rd minute of play. Adel Idir kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 34th match minute, Rodley AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zoubair Ghigani to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Rodley AFC's goalkeeper Hassan Slim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Heithem Adhoum . If David Jbara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Salah Belhaj Souayati to make the kick off. Hassan Slim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Heithem Adhoum 's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Hassan Slim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heithem Adhoum , who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 60 minutes of play, Hexham's Salah Belhaj Souayati made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hassan Slim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Karim Ammar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Houcine Ragued came out and tried to block the shot, but Karim Ammar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hexham's zone, Karim Ammar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Houcine Ragued came out of the goal and Karim Ammar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Jbara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Houcine Ragued having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Rodley AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Salah Belhaj Souayati came free, but Hassan Slim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Salah Belhaj Souayati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karim Ammar in the 81st minute of play forced Hexham's goalkeeper Houcine Ragued to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd of the match, Karim Ammar tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Houcine Ragued got in the way and made a wonderful save. The audience was convinced that Salah Belhaj Souayati 's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hassan Slim was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Jbara got free with Houcine Ragued in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
