When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Issam Ben Mbarek sped through Earl Shilton FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Karim Ben Aïssa. In the 9thth minute of the game Bassem Ayari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Earl Shilton FC's Karim Ben Aïssa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Earl Shilton FC's Aymen Aleya got a free kick in the 9th minute. Karim Ben Aïssa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bassem Ayari, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Earl Shilton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mongi Ben Mbarek came free, but Karim Ben Aïssa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Hailsham City's zone, Muhammad Ben Doulet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehdi Chedli came out of the goal and Muhammad Ben Doulet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mehdi Chedli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Muhammad Bourguiba's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Muhammad Bourguiba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Mehdi Chedli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Muhammad Bourguiba took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Mehdi Chedli to make any attempt to save it. Mongi Ben Mbarek struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Karim Ben Aïssa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hailsham City. If Muhammad Ben Doulet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Muhammad Bourguiba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Chedli having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bassem Ayari stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Hailsham City's Issam Ben Mbarek got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 61 played minutes Hailsham City got a freekick which was hit by Ali Jelassi. When Muhammad Bourguiba came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Earl Shilton FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Muhammad Bourguiba couldn't finish the play. Muhammad Ben Doulet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mehdi Chedli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muhammad Bourguiba in the 70th minute of play. Bassem Ayari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karim Ben Aïssa having to interfere. Muhammad Ben Doulet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Muhammad Bourguiba struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Mehdi Chedli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Earl Shilton FC. In the 91st minute, Muhammad Ben Doulet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Muhammad Bourguiba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Chedli having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Hailsham City got a freekick which was hit by Issam Ben Mbarek. Earl Shilton FC's Muhammad Ben Doulet got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
