José Guelbi kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Ali Essediri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Welling's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Essediri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adel Amri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Cheadle's Issam BenAmor got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Ahmed Sellami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmed Sellami fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hatem Khalifa having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Issam Sassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Ben Bourguiba made a precise shot to the right of Adel Amri. Cheadle's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Adel Amri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Bourguiba in the 26th minute of play. Adel Amri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Essediri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Cheadle's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Essediri came free, but Adel Amri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ben Bourguiba charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ben Bourguiba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ben Bourguiba kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After 35 played minutes, Welling's Hamed M'hadhebi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adel Amri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Welling reached it. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Ben Bourguiba put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Adel Amri. In the 43rd match minute, Welling was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moez Ghodhbane to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Welling were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ben Bourguiba to strike the kick off in the second half. Adel Amri didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 53rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Ben Bourguiba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Adel Amri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 minutes, Issam BenAmor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cheadle and the Welling players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th minute, Issam BenAmor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ali Essediri came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Welling fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Essediri couldn't finish the play. Karim Jaïdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Hatem Khalifa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 88 minutes, Karim Jaïdi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheadle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karim Jaïdi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hatem Khalifa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karim Jaïdi in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Welling had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
