Habib Haddad ran back to his position shaking his head. Nizar Soussia made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Mohamed Karoui sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute Abdessalem Tonniche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamed El Ouaer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Ali Hammami was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sowerby Bridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shireoaks the free kick. A collision led to Sowerby Bridge getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ali Hammami hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Habib Haddad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sowerby Bridge's Habib Haddad got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdessalem Tonniche during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sowerby Bridge getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Abdessalem Tonniche hit a great ball. Hamed El Ouaer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdessalem Tonniche in the 41st minute of the match. Habib Haddad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Hamed El Ouaer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdessalem Tonniche to make the kick off. Bechir Jemmali struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Nizar Soussia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shireoaks. Issam El Abidine Ben Ali took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nizar Soussia. Sowerby Bridge's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mohamed Karoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nizar Soussia having to interfere. Habib Haddad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sowerby Bridge's Nizar Soussia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bechir Jemmali in the 68th minute of play. Nizar Soussia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Karoui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 76 minutes, Mohamed Karoui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shireoaks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohamed Karoui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, one of Shireoaks:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Shireoaks. If Abdessalem Tonniche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th match minute, Sowerby Bridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Habib Haddad to maneuver through the defense. Nizar Soussia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bahi Tonniche in the 91st minute of the match. If Bechir Jemmali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
