Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ben Ben Younes kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chaouki Cherif got free with Alaeddine Sellami in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the match, Gateshead FC's Ben Ben Younes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmad Bourguiba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Chaouki Cherif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jamel Miaâdi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alaeddine Sellami read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chems Limam during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Gateshead FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chems Limam to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th match minute, Gateshead FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohamed Mrabet to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the game, Ferid Trabelsi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gateshead FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ashburton United the free kick. A collision led to Gateshead FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ferid Trabelsi hit a great ball. Hedi Gammoudi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmad Bourguiba having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ashburton United's Kais Ayari got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Ben Ben Younes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chaouki Cherif sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jamel Miaâdi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ferid Trabelsi was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ashburton United's Ahmad Bourguiba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hedi Gammoudi in the 42nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Alaeddine Sellami successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Jamel Miaâdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Ashburton United booed when Gateshead FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raouf Sellimi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jamel Miaâdi took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alaeddine Sellami. Alaeddine Sellami dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 60th minute, Raouf Sellimi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ashburton United's Ahmad Bourguiba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Ashburton United from getting a goal against them. Ahmad Bourguiba made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Hedi Gammoudi sent off a good shot on target. Jamel Miaâdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alaeddine Sellami having to interfere. Hedi Gammoudi succeeded in the game's 76th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Jamel Miaâdi might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alaeddine Sellami. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jamel Miaâdi ran back to his position shaking his head. During the 87th minute of the match Chems Limam completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Chems Limam a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 90th minute, Chaouki Cherif left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ashburton United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
