Jamel Miaâdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Mohieddine Lahmar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Sami Ouakili hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th match minute Karim Akimi ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Ahmad Bourguiba. 1-0. Mohieddine Lahmar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chaouki Cherif in the 22nd minute of play. Hemel Hempstead City's Mohieddine Lahmar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamel Miaâdi in the 29th minute of play. Khaled Salem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hemel Hempstead City's Mohamed Karoui got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ashburton United's zone, Khaled Salem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmad Bourguiba came out of the goal and Khaled Salem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Khaled Salem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Khaled Salem had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahmad Bourguiba. Ashburton United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Khaled Salem was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Mohamed Karoui was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mohamed Karoui to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamel Miaâdi in the 54th minute of play forced Hemel Hempstead City's goalkeeper Mohieddine Lahmar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Ashburton United's Chaouki Cherif sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mohieddine Lahmar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jamel Miaâdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60thth minute of the game Jamel Miaâdi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hemel Hempstead City's Mohieddine Lahmar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute of the match Noureddine Jaidi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mohieddine Lahmar skillfully saved the ball. If Chaouki Cherif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khaled Salem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70thth minute of the game Khaled Salem who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ashburton United's Ahmad Bourguiba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute, Mohamed Ali Meoki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Khaled Salem in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmad Bourguiba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Khaled Salem sped through Ashburton United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ahmad Bourguiba. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hemel Hempstead City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ashburton United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
