Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ali Chaldun kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Gateshead FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Chaldun came free, but Alaeddine Sellami reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ben Ben Younes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ben Ben Younes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hedi Limam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Ben Younes in the 16th minute of the match. Ben Ben Younes struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Hedi Limam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gateshead FC. Majed Karray kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Hedi Gammoudi in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hedi Limam, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alaeddine Sellami showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Chaldun in the 37th minute of the match. Hedi Gammoudi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hedi Limam having to interfere. If Hassib Hammami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 minutes, Abdelkarim al-Amin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ellesmere Port City and the Gateshead FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 54 minutes into the game, Hedi Gammoudi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gateshead FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ellesmere Port City the free kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chems Limam during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th minute, Chems Limam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alaeddine Sellami showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Chaldun, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The supporters of Ellesmere Port City booed when Gateshead FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chems Limam didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 63 played minutes Ellesmere Port City got a freekick which was hit by Abdelkarim al-Amin. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Ellesmere Port City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gateshead FC:s goal. Ellesmere Port City:s Hedi Limam showed great skill when he stopped Mohamed Mrabet:s penalty. Hedi Limam came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Gateshead FC's Mohamed Mrabet. But to his dismay, Mohamed Mrabet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gateshead FC's Alaeddine Sellami played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Chaldun in the 70th minute of play. When Ali Chaldun came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Ellesmere Port City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Chaldun couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raouf Khaled during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 74 minutes into the game, one of Gateshead FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Alaeddine Sellami, was totally fooled by Ellesmere Port City's Salah Belhaj Bourguiba, who 76 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Gateshead FC's Alaeddine Sellami played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Chaldun in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Ali Chaldun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hassib Hammami received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Alaeddine Sellami tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 played minutes Ellesmere Port City got a freekick which was hit by Walid Ben Amor. Gateshead FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Ali Chaldun scored to the left of an out of position Alaeddine Sellami, making the score, 1-3. Ben Ben Younes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Hedi Limam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
