In the 6th minute of the match, Noureddine Bouzaiene tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bechir Baya saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Hamda Decastel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 10 minutes into the match, Farnworth's goalkeeper Bechir Baya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hamda Decastel. Noureddine Bouzaiene fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bechir Baya having to interfere. Hamda Decastel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Bechir Baya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Férid Ben Dhouib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelkarim Benachour in the 21st minute of play. Mohamed Merdassi hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Farnworth's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hamda Decastel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hamda Decastels short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Bechir Baya to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 30 minutes into the match, Chippenham's Noureddine Bouzaiene sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bechir Baya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Férid Ben Dhouib didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abdelkarim Benachour went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Abdelkarim Benachour came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Farnworth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdelkarim Benachour couldn't finish the play. If Abdelkarim Benachour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelkarim Benachour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Farnworth's Bechir Baya got control of the ball when Hamda Decastel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hamda Decastel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Bechir Baya made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Noureddine Bouzaiene was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Chippenham's Férid Ben Dhouib got control of the ball when Abdelkarim Benachour tried to sneak it across the goal line. Férid Ben Dhouib stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hamed Nafti's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Chippenham's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelkarim Benachour came free, but Férid Ben Dhouib reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Férid Ben Dhouib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehdi Makni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chippenham's goalkeeper Férid Ben Dhouib, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Farnworth booed when Chippenham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noureddine Bouzaiene didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdelkarim Benachour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Férid Ben Dhouib tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Noureddine Bouzaiene managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chippenham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noureddine Bouzaiene was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Chippenham's goal looked a bit too open when Mehdi Makni came free, but Férid Ben Dhouib reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Noureddine Bouzaiene put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bechir Baya. 78 minutes into the match, Farnworth's Hamed Nafti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Férid Ben Dhouib narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Farnworth's goal looked a bit too open when Noureddine Bouzaiene came free, but Bechir Baya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bechir Baya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noureddine Bouzaiene, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Hatem Jbara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Hamda Decastel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bechir Baya was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 91st minute Mehdi Makni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Férid Ben Dhouib saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Noureddine Bouzaiene might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bechir Baya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Noureddine Bouzaiene ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Farnworth's zone, Hamda Decastel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bechir Baya came out of the goal and Hamda Decastel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
