In the 9th minute, Adel Bouzaiene hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute Adel Jawachi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahi Ben Mbarek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Youssef Ben Saada struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Bahi Ben Mbarek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Downham Market. In the 15th minute Ali Mechergui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahi Ben Mbarek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Youssef Ben Saada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ali Mechergui sped through Wombwell City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bahi Ben Mbarek. Youssef Ben Saada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahi Ben Mbarek having to interfere. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wombwell City's goalkeeper Bahi Ben Mbarek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chedli Belkahia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Hedi Slimane when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Chedli Belkahia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chedli Belkahia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hedi Slimane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Downham Market was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kameleddine Jaidi to maneuver through the defense. Haythem Karoui lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 47 played minutes Downham Market got a freekick which was hit by Haythem Karoui. After having played for 49 minutes, Wissem Ben Mokthar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wombwell City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wissem Ben Mokthar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ali Mechergui was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chedli Belkahia in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hedi Slimane prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 55 played minutes Downham Market got a freekick which was hit by Haythem M'Hedhbi. If Chedli Belkahia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chedli Belkahia struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Hedi Slimane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wombwell City. Wombwell City's Bahi Ben Mbarek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Wombwell City from getting a goal against them. Abdelwahab Jawachi hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Haythem M'Hedhbi might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bahi Ben Mbarek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haythem M'Hedhbi ran back to his position shaking his head. Ali Mechergui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ayèche Ben Trabelsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chedli Belkahia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ali Mechergui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Bahi Ben Mbarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Downham Market walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
