Mehdi Jaballah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anis Cherif having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Ashburton's goal looked a bit too open when Adel Mnari came free, but Adel Mestiri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute of the match, Walid Haithem tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Anis Cherif saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 19th match minute, Openshaw was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Helmi Ouhir to maneuver through the defense. If Walid Haithem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Openshaw booed when Ashburton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamza Zaalani didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Ashburton's Mehdi Jaballah sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anis Cherif narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abdallah Bouchrara hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Ashburton's Adel Mestiri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adel Mnari in the 35th minute of play. Mehdi Jaballah's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anis Cherif read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, one of Openshaw:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 40th minute there was a penalty for Ashburton. Hamza Zaalani stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Anis Cherif. 1-0. Mehdi Jaballah blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anis Cherif having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adel Mnari made a kick off. Abdallah Chiba kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 58thth minute of the game Adel Mnari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ashburton's Adel Mestiri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Walid Haithem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ashburton's supporters rose to their feet, but Walid Haithem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anis Cherif breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mehdi Jaballah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdallah Bouchrara kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Mehdi Jaballah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Anis Cherif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walid Haithem in the 70th minute of play forced Openshaw's goalkeeper Anis Cherif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walid Haithem took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anis Cherif. Anis Cherif dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 79 minutes into the game, Ashburton's Mehdi Jaballah nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anis Cherif made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Anis Cherif showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walid Haithem in the 87th minute of the match. Mohamed Falhi hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Anis Cherif made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walid Haithem in the 91st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salah Cherni got free with Adel Mestiri in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Salah Cherni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ashburton's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
