The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Albert Karoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ziad Taher couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Albert Karoui put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sami Jendoubi. Sami Jendoubi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Karoui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Surbiton City getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Mohamed Sallemi hit a great ball. Abdelhamid Bourguiba charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdelhamid Bourguiba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sami Jendoubi made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Mohamed Jebali sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albert Karoui to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Surbiton City got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed Sallemi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Bhar in the 56th minute of play forced Holford United's goalkeeper Hamdi Slimane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Ahmed Bhar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamdi Slimane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hatem Ben Haithem got free with Hamdi Slimane in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute Ziad Taher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sami Jendoubi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albert Karoui in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sami Jendoubi saved Surbiton City from getting behind. When Aymen Sellami fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Surbiton City's protests and gave Aymen Sellami a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, Surbiton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aymen Sellami to maneuver through the defense. Mohamed Sallemi charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Surbiton City's goalie and right to Ali Hleli. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Surbiton City's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ziad Taher 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sami Jendoubi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Sami Jendoubi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ziad Taher , who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Holford United's Albert Karoui sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sami Jendoubi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Surbiton City's Sami Jendoubi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Karoui in the 90th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ahmed Bhar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hamdi Slimane was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Holford United's Hamdi Slimane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Holford United from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute, Ahmed Bhar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hamdi Slimane. The goal made the score 1-1.
