After a defensive mix-up in Holford United's zone, Ahmed Achab stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamdi Slimane came out of the goal and Ahmed Achab tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hamdi Slimane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamel Guelbi in the 6th minute of play. Mehdi Herguel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamel Guelbi in the 17th minute of play forced Holford United's goalkeeper Hamdi Slimane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmed Achab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Hamdi Slimane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohamed Jebali was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Atherstone's Mehdi Herguel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Atherstone from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute, Ziad Taher made a precise shot to the right of Mehdi Herguel. Atherstone's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hatem Jaballah during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 97th minute, Albert Karoui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Holford United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
