Michel Souayah came out of the goal and Bahi Ben Mbarek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michel Chipo in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hosni Bourguiba saved Kingswear from getting behind. Kingswear's Hosni Bourguiba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Chipo in the 16th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Horsham United's Hosni Bourguiba threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Michel Chipo , which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Riadh Ghodhbane kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Michel Souayah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bahi Ben Mbarek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Horsham United's goal looked a bit too open when Bahi Ben Mbarek came free, but Michel Souayah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Hassan Amri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Souayah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hassan Amri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Michel Souayah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Bahi Ben Mbarek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kingswear's supporters rose to their feet, but Bahi Ben Mbarek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel Souayah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kingswear's Hassan Amri got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michel Chipo made a kick off.
