Yateley FC's Mustafa Mahouachi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tahar Ben Karel in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Hawkcombe booed when Yateley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adel Melliti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yateley FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adel Ben Nacef was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tahar Boulaabi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Hawkcombe's zone, Adel Ben Nacef stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tahar Boulaabi came out of the goal and Adel Ben Nacef tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Adel Ben Nacef came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Yateley FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adel Ben Nacef couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute Adel Ben Nacef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tahar Boulaabi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Hamza Belgacem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yateley FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamza Belgacem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tahar Boulaabi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute, Adel Ben Nacef got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adel Ben Nacef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adel Ben Nacef to make the kick off. Mohamed Baya kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, Yateley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adel Melliti to maneuver through the defense. Slim Ben Bourguiba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Mahouachi having to interfere. If Habib Sellami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mohamed Abdelkader fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yateley FC's protests and gave Mohamed Abdelkader a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Yateley FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hawkcombe:s goal. Fethi Abdallah shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 97 minutes into the match, Yateley FC's Adel Ben Nacef sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tahar Boulaabi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Slim Ben Bourguiba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Mahouachi having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
