Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bechir Sassi took the kick off in the first half of the match. Haythem Trabelsi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hadj Salem Braiek, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes into the game, Habib al-Husain was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gosport AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shepton Mallet the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gosport AFC's Habib al-Husain got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 9 played minutes Gosport AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mohieddine Chatti. Hadj Salem Braiek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Haythem Trabelsi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haythem Trabelsi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bechir Sassi in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Gosport AFC's Khaled Saidi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haythem Trabelsi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Said Ben Ouertani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Issam Jomaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 28 played minutes, Gosport AFC's Anis Yahyaoui shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Haythem Trabelsi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gosport AFC reached it. Fethi Salem might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Said Ben Ouertani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fethi Salem ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 35th minute Hadj Salem Braiek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haythem Trabelsi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Hadj Salem Braiek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Haythem Trabelsi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Haythem Trabelsi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hadj Salem Braiek in the 42nd minute of the match. If Issam Jomaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half Gosport AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fethi Salem stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Gosport AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Habib al-Husain to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th match minute, Gosport AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Khaled Saidi to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Gosport AFC's Haythem Trabelsi threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bechir Sassi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Fethi Salem came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Shepton Mallet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fethi Salem couldn't finish the play. After 68 played minutes Shepton Mallet got a freekick which was hit by Hamdi Mustapha. Gosport AFC's Anis Yahyaoui couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Shepton Mallet. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bechir Sassi in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haythem Trabelsi saved Shepton Mallet from getting behind. Bechir Sassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Haythem Trabelsi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 minutes, Rachid Bejaoui mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shepton Mallet and the Gosport AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rachid Bejaoui kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Anis Yahyaoui, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 95 played minutes, Shepton Mallet's Moez Badra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Said Ben Ouertani came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Shepton Mallet reached it. Bechir Sassi struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Haythem Trabelsi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gosport AFC.
