When Fathi Boumnijel, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 5 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Kais Karel was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 12th minute Youssef Ben Sboui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kais Karel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Filey FC's Khaled Ammar got a free kick in the 18th minute. Filey FC:s Sami Nafti showed great skill when he stopped Karim Thabet:s penalty. Habib Dali's late challenge caught a Aldbrough's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Habib Dali helped the player get up and apologised. After recieving a nice pass, Aldbrough's Karim Thabet tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Aldbrough's Chedi Ameur got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sami Nafti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Marzouki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes, Mohamed Marzouki made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Filey FC's Sami Nafti tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Mohamed Marzouki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aldbrough's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohamed Marzouki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sami Nafti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute, Habib Dali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Aldbrough's Karim Ali Bourguiba got a free kick in the 36th minute. Fathi Boumnijel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kais Karel made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Fathi Boumnijel sent off a good shot on target. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Youssef Ben Sboui to make the kick off. A collision led to Aldbrough getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Muhammad Hadda hit a great ball. Kais Karel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fathi Boumnijel in the 78th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Filey FC's Khaled Ammar got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The supporters of Filey FC booed when Aldbrough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Masmoudi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fathi Boumnijel in the 90th minute of play forced Aldbrough's goalkeeper Kais Karel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
