The referee ignored Donnington's protests and gave Haykel Mellouli a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Donnington getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Haykel Mellouli hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Hedhili Boumnijel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mohamed Jebali was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After having played for 13 minutes, Maher Maatouk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Donnington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maher Maatouk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hedhili Boumnijel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes Donnington got a freekick which was hit by Habib Ammar. Ammar Loussayef's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mohamed Jebali read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Hedhili Boumnijel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Donnington's goal looked a bit too open when Hedhili Boumnijel came free, but Mohamed Jebali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maher Maatouk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Caid Chérif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Lytham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ammar Loussayef to maneuver through the defense. When Mohamed Nefzi came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Donnington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohamed Nefzi couldn't finish the play. Caid Chérif showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maher Maatouk, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Mohamed Boumnijel's late challenge caught a Donnington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mohamed Boumnijel helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maher Maatouk in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caid Chérif saved Lytham from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Mohamed Nefzi put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Caid Chérif. Khaled Ouakili might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mohamed Jebali. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Khaled Ouakili ran back to his position shaking his head. Caid Chérif showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohamed Nefzi in the 90th minute of the match. Caid Chérif made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Nefzi in the 92nd minute of play. When Donnington's Mohamed Nefzi in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lytham's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Donnington had won after a very even match.
