Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 5th minute, Croydon's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rachid Santos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 8th minute, Ali Ghariani fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 9th minute, Rachid Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ali Ghariani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 13 minutes, Ali Ghariani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wellingborough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Ghariani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18thth minute of the game Ali Ghariani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Croydon's Hedhili Benachour was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mourad Bouali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hedhili Bargougui having to interfere. After 27 minutes of play, Wellingborough's Rachid Santos made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hedhili Benachour was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hedhili Benachour came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Wellingborough's Ali Ghariani. But to his dismay, Ali Ghariani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Taoufik Badra during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Taoufik Badra kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Hedhili Bargougui didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mehdi Ben Bourguiba went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Hedhili Benachour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Ghariani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 44 minutes, Rachid Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wellingborough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rachid Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 48th minute Mourad Bouali suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wellingborough fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 48th minute. Penalty! After a long run with the ball, Fadhel Sassi did a trick in the 52nd minute in front of Wellingborough's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-2. An impressive performance by Croydon's Fadhel Sassi! The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Mehdi Ben Bourguiba made the kick off in the second half. Hedhili Benachour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Ghariani in the 59th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Croydon's goal looked a bit too open when Rachid Santos came free, but Hedhili Benachour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ali Ghariani came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Wellingborough fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Ghariani couldn't finish the play. Ali Ghariani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hedhili Benachour having to interfere. Mehdi Ben Bourguiba struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Hedhili Bargougui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Croydon. In the 75th match minute, Croydon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fakhreddine Salem to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Rachid Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hedhili Benachour was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aymen Khcharem during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aymen Khcharem kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Croydon's zone, Rachid Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hedhili Benachour came out of the goal and Rachid Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Rachid Santos sped through Croydon's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hedhili Benachour. Hedhili Benachour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Ghariani in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Croydon booed when Wellingborough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 100 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamadi Srarfi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Croydon's Fadhel Sassi tried to score from far away in the 101st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Croydon's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
