The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Mehdi Sellami fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bourne End's protests and gave Mehdi Sellami a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Mehdi Sellami hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Aleya hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Mehdi Hermassi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ahmed Nefzi went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Mongi Robime made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muhammad Essediri in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Bourne End's goal looked a bit too open when Muhammad Essediri came free, but Mongi Robime reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caid Khalifa might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mehdi Hermassi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caid Khalifa ran back to his position shaking his head. Ahmed Nefzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ahmed Nefzi was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sami al-Munsif Bey in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mongi Robime prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute, Caid Khalifa made a precise shot to the right of Mehdi Hermassi. Hale City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Muhammad Essediri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the match, Sami al-Munsif Bey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mongi Robime. Bourne End's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sami al-Munsif Bey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Ahmed Nefzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Hermassi having to interfere. Ahmed Nefzi struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Mehdi Hermassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bourne End. Ahmed Nefzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Mehdi Hermassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hale City's Muhammad Essediri got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bourne End players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hale City.
