Dorney AFC's Aziz Ben Dhia suffered a concussion in the 3rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Makni during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 8 minutes into the game, Atef Boularès was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dorney AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Harpenden United the free kick. After 9 played minutes Dorney AFC got a freekick which was hit by Atef Boularès. In the 11th minute, Ali Haithem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dorney AFC's Akram Youssef played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chedi Mouelhi in the 13th minute of play. Akram Youssef came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Harpenden United's Ali Haithem. But to his dismay, Ali Haithem quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dorney AFC's Akram Youssef played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Haithem in the 19th minute of play. Atef Boularès kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Dorney AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Haithem came free, but Akram Youssef reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Noureddine El Ouaer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kameleddine Zaalani didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Dorney AFC's Noureddine El Ouaer shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 49th minute, one of Dorney AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dorney AFC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chedi Mouelhi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Harpenden United's goal looked a bit too open when Noureddine El Ouaer came free, but Kameleddine Zaalani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorney AFC were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Harpenden United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tarek Ladgham took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Tarek Ladgham got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kameleddine Zaalani quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Akram Youssef made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Ali Haithem sent off a good shot on target. Paulo Makni got his second yellow card in the match during the 62nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Harpenden United's Paulo Makni got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Dorney AFC's Tarek Ladgham broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 69 minutes into the match, Dorney AFC's Atef Boularès sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kameleddine Zaalani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Noureddine El Ouaer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Dorney AFC got a freekick which was hit by Abdallah Rokki . Zine Mkacher took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Akram Youssef. Dorney AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Chedi Mouelhi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harpenden United's supporters rose to their feet, but Chedi Mouelhi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akram Youssef breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Harpenden United's Chedi Mouelhi got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harpenden United's David Bhar got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Ali Haithem had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Akram Youssef. Dorney AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ali Haithem was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ali Haithem got free with Akram Youssef in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
