Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ali Beya in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alaeddine Boukadida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adel M'henni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heithem Jendoubi, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Heithem Jendoubi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adel M'henni having to interfere. A hard shot 18 in the game by Ali Beya from a close distance when the talented Alaeddine Boukadida managed to make a qualified save. Southport's players were relieved. Mohamed Souayati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alaeddine Boukadida having to interfere. Mohamed Souayati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Alaeddine Boukadida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Southport's Alaeddine Boukadida got control of the ball when Mohamed Souayati tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Ali Beya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liverpool City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Beya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mohamed Souayati struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Alaeddine Boukadida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool City. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Walid Jazi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ali Beya came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Liverpool City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Beya couldn't finish the play. Alaeddine Boukadida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Beya , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 57 minutes, Mohamed Souayati managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liverpool City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohamed Souayati was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Liverpool City's Adel M'henni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walid Jazi in the 62nd minute of play. Walid Jazi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adel M'henni having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool City's zone, Sahbi Ben Baya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adel M'henni came out of the goal and Sahbi Ben Baya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69thth minute of the game Walid Jazi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liverpool City's Adel M'henni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alaeddine Khcharem kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The supporters of Southport booed when Liverpool City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chokri Chipo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Heithem Jendoubi spun around in front of the goal 75 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Liverpool City's goal. In the 78th minute, Mohamed Souayati got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Walid Jazi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adel M'henni. Walid Jazi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Adel M'henni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walid Jazi in the 97th minute of play. The Southport players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
