The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Wissem Hicheri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Khaled Bachraoui. Chuffing Hell's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wissem Hicheri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Canvey Island's goal looked a bit too open when Jalel Kasraoui came free, but Shuaibu Essafi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shuaibu Essafi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Khaled Sellimi in the 10th minute. Helmi Belgacem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Helmi Belgacem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khaled Bachraoui having to interfere. After 16 minutes, Issam Bourguiba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chuffing Hell and the Canvey Island players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Chuffing Hell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Issam Bourguiba to maneuver through the defense. Shuaibu Essafi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jalel Kasraoui in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Said Ben Nefzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Khaled Sellimi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shuaibu Essafi having to interfere. If Wissem Hicheri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Helmi Belgacem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Khaled Bachraoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chuffing Hell's Khaled Bachraoui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wissem Hicheri in the 32nd minute of play. Chaker Mnari hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The Chuffing Hell players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Canvey Island were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Jalel Kasraoui made the kick off in the second half. Shuaibu Essafi came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Chuffing Hell's Jalel Kasraoui. But to his dismay, Jalel Kasraoui quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Wissem Hicheri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canvey Island's supporters rose to their feet, but Wissem Hicheri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Khaled Bachraoui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Helmi Belgacem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Khaled Bachraoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Khaled Bachraoui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wissem Hicheri in the 61st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Khaled Sellimi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Helmi Belgacem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Khaled Bachraoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Jalel Kasraoui made a precise shot to the right of Shuaibu Essafi. Canvey Island's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Canvey Island's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
