The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ammar Boukorâa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atef Benslimane having to interfere. Atef Benslimane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ammar Boukorâa in the 5th minute of play. Achraf Ladgham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anouar Chedli having to make a save. When Hatem Ouertani came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Fareham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hatem Ouertani couldn't finish the play. Achraf Ladgham was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. Fareham's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Achraf Ladgham got free with Anouar Chedli in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hatem Ouertani in the 30th minute of play forced Winkleigh City's goalkeeper Anouar Chedli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ammar Boukorâa in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atef Benslimane prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Blaise Hedi Jedidi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 35 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fareham fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! Tarak Hermassi hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Winkleigh City's Ammar Boukorâa got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sofiane Chaldun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Atef Benslimane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atef Benslimane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ammar Boukorâa, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
If Ahmed Ameur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atef Benslimane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ammar Boukorâa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sofiane Chaldun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atef Benslimane having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fareham's zone, Sofiane Chaldun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atef Benslimane came out of the goal and Sofiane Chaldun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Sofiane Chaldun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atef Benslimane was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Winkleigh City's zone, Achraf Ladgham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anouar Chedli came out of the goal and Achraf Ladgham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atef Benslimane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sofiane Chaldun in the 83rd minute of play. Tarak Hermassi kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Sofiane Chaldun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atef Benslimane having to make a save. In the 96th match minute, Winkleigh City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radhi Slim to maneuver through the defense.
