If Walid El Ouaer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

53 minutes into the match, Wallasey United's goal looked a bit too open when Mokhtar Ouakili came free, but Achref Beya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Jemeleddine Meriah was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 67 played minutes Cambridge got a freekick which was hit by Bechir Ben Zid. When Driss Maatouk came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Wallasey United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Driss Maatouk couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute, Walid El Ouaer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wallasey United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 76th minute, Kaies Bourchada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walid El Ouaer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Karim Ben Salah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Driss Maatouk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wallasey United's supporters rose to their feet, but Driss Maatouk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karim Ben Salah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karim Ben Salah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walid El Ouaer in the 82nd minute of play. After 82 minutes, Bechir Bouzayane mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cambridge and the Wallasey United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Wallasey United booed when Cambridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bechir Bouzayane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Driss Maatouk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karim Ben Salah having to interfere. The Cambridge players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Wallasey United from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
