Ali Sassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdelwahab Naybet in the 10th minute of the match. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wisbech's goalkeeper Ali Sassi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hédi Ghodhbane got free with Ali Sassi in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Khaled Ghodhbane fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Old Clipstone's protests and gave Khaled Ghodhbane a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Old Clipstone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Khaled Ghodhbane to maneuver through the defense. Hédi Ghodhbane could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Ali Sassi made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Wisbech's Chedly Khemili got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute Abdelwahab Naybet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Sassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aziz Bensedrine hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Wisbech's Ali Sassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdelwahab Naybet in the 40th minute of play. In the 44thth minute of the game Abdelwahab Naybet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wisbech's Ali Sassi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdelkarim Jemaiel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmed Sboui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelkarim Jemaiel in the 53rd minute of play. Mohamed Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Sboui having to interfere. Ali Clayton hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The attack was good, but when Abdelwahab Naybet in the 66th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 69th minute, Mehdi Mourali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hédi Ghodhbane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ali Sassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelwahab Naybet in the 74th minute of play. Hédi Ghodhbane struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Ali Sassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Old Clipstone. Mohamed Santos struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. The supporters of Old Clipstone booed when Wisbech was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chedly Khemili didn't get a good kick on the ball.
