In the 10th match minute, Sandwich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohamed Sellami to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Mounir Ben Saada notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sandwich's Mohieddine Chaldun. Mohieddine Chaldun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sandwich's supporters rose to their feet, but Houcine Mosrati was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 66 minutes of play, Sandwich's Hassen Ghigani made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Belgacem Marzouki was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Aymen Ghannem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rochdale AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aymen Ghannem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hedhili Haggui charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hedhili Haggui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th minute, Hedhili Haggui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience held their breath when Mehdi Bhar in the 87th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Belgacem Marzouki's left hand side. Hassen Ghigani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Belgacem Marzouki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belgacem Marzouki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Sellami, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If Hassen Ghigani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rochdale AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sandwich.
