In the 58th minute, Lassaad Meriah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Akram Boumnijel came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Chichester fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Akram Boumnijel couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Fathi Yahia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haythem Boumnijel took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ali Chedli. Ali Chedli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After having played for 67 minutes, Akram Boumnijel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chichester's supporters crossed their fingers, but Akram Boumnijel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Chokri Radhouani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grimsby City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chichester the free kick. In the 68th minute, Chokri Radhouani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Lassaad Meriah got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Lassaad Meriah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chichester's Radhi Akid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmad Youssef in the 76th minute of play. The supporters of Grimsby City booed when Chichester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amir Thabet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chichester's Radhi Akid proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Chichester from getting a goal against them. If Akram Boumnijel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Chichester players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
