Karim Mzali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chems Chérif in the 4th minute of the match. Chems Chérif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Karim Mzali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tarak Yahia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iteb Bourguiba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ahmed Gharbi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karim Mzali was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Meoki during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ali Neifar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harborne's Tarak Yahia got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ali Neifar to make the kick off. Muhammad Mnari hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Chems Chérifs short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Karim Mzali to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 1-1 became the score in the 69th minute when Chems Chérif elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Tarak Yahia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmed Gharbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute of the match Chaouki Ben Souissi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karim Mzali showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Karim Mzali was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Ahmed Gharbi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ahmed Gharbi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. The Keyworth supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Keyworth would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
