Holmes Chapel City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brentwood the free kick. In the 4th match minute, Holmes Chapel City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muhammad Baya to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the game, Ali Zaalani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brentwood's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Holmes Chapel City the free kick. A collision led to Brentwood getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ali Zaalani hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Brentwood's goal looked a bit too open when Taieb Essediri came free, but Mokhtar Sélim Haj Ali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Taieb Essediri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chokri Hadrioui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Abderrahim Ayari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zouheir Slimane in the 22nd minute of play forced Holmes Chapel City's goalkeeper Abderrahim Ayari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fathi Cherif blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mokhtar Sélim Haj Ali having to make a save. If Fathi Cherif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Jawhar Bourguiba put in a rough tackle. In the 29th minute, one of Holmes Chapel City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Holmes Chapel City. When Fathi Cherif came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Holmes Chapel City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fathi Cherif couldn't finish the play. Sadok Sfar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Brentwood defense, Fathi Cherif kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mokhtar Sélim Haj Ali. The Brentwood fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mokhtar Sélim Haj Ali should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute, Fathi Cherif got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chokri Hadrioui made a kick off. Brentwood's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Taoufik Bouali in the 53rd minute. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Fathi Cherif got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 62 minutes into the match, Brentwood's goalkeeper Mokhtar Sélim Haj Ali had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fathi Cherif. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Chokri Hadrioui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brentwood's supporters rose to their feet, but Chokri Hadrioui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abderrahim Ayari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Brentwood booed when Holmes Chapel City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhammad Baya didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Zouheir Slimane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abderrahim Ayari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chokri Hadrioui , who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute of the match Mehdi Cherni shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abderrahim Ayari showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Holmes Chapel City's goal looked a bit too open when Zouheir Slimane came free, but Abderrahim Ayari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abderrahim Ayari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zouheir Slimane, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Zouheir Slimane left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brentwood fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 96 minutes into the match, Holmes Chapel City's goal looked a bit too open when Zouheir Slimane came free, but Abderrahim Ayari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Brentwood were victorious despite being under pressure from Holmes Chapel City for much of the match.
