Eastham's Chokri Chikhaoui proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Eastham from getting a goal against them. Eastham's Chokri Chikhaoui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zine Mzali in the 22nd minute of play. Tarek Hicheri scored 2-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Haykel Cherif, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tarek Hicheri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haykel Cherif having to interfere. Chokri Chikhaoui didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 33rd minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. Eastham's Chokri Chikhaoui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zine Mzali in the 39th minute of play. Mohamed Ali Haggui scored 4-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chokri Chikhaoui, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Youssef Clayton to make the kick off. The supporters of Eastham booed when Ashburton United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hatem Mestiri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haykel Cherif made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Tarek Hicheri sent off a good shot on target. Tarek Hicheri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tarek Hicheris short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Haykel Cherif to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mohamed Ali Haggui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Chokri Chikhaoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Youssef Clayton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Haykel Cherif read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ashburton United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Eastham had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
