The referee showed Chaouki Kadri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bootle booed when Wivenhoe City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chaouki Kadri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Slaheddine Ben Amor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heithem Essafi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haythem Braiek in the 18th minute of play forced Wivenhoe City's goalkeeper Alaeddine Litaiem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 played minutes Wivenhoe City got a freekick which was hit by Noureddine Rostom. Zine Decastel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Alaeddine Litaiem made a huge save. Zine Decastel kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Slaheddine Ben Amor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heithem Essafi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Zine Decastel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noureddine Rostom's late challenge caught a Bootle's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noureddine Rostom helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th match minute, Wivenhoe City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noureddine Rostom to maneuver through the defense. If Haythem Braiek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zine Decastel struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Alaeddine Litaiem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bootle. Mohieddine Ghodhbane hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haythem Braiek was the one to do the kick off. 64 minutes into the match, Wivenhoe City's Heithem Essafi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Slaheddine Ben Amor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Bootle's Slaheddine Ben Amor got control of the ball when Hassine Baccouche tried to sneak it across the goal line. Haythem Braiek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alaeddine Litaiem having to interfere. Bootle's Zine Decastel got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Heithem Essafi might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Slaheddine Ben Amor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Heithem Essafi ran back to his position shaking his head. Slaheddine Ben Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heithem Essafi, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haythem Braiek in the 79th minute of play forced Wivenhoe City's goalkeeper Alaeddine Litaiem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Wivenhoe City getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Mohieddine Ghodhbane hit a great ball. Heithem Bourguiba took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alaeddine Litaiem. Wivenhoe City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Bootle's goalkeeper Slaheddine Ben Amor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Heithem Essafi. Heithem Essafi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Slaheddine Ben Amor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Wivenhoe City's goal looked a bit too open when Zine Decastel came free, but Alaeddine Litaiem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Haythem Braiek came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Bootle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haythem Braiek couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Wivenhoe City's zone, Zine Decastel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alaeddine Litaiem came out of the goal and Zine Decastel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the game, Bootle's Zine Decastel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alaeddine Litaiem made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
