Ali Korbi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Essediri in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, Chedly Nefzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 7 minutes, Mohsen Ali Bourguiba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rothley United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohsen Ali Bourguiba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rothley United's Ali Korbi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Essediri in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karim Essediri in the 17th minute of play forced Rothley United's goalkeeper Ali Korbi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes of play, Rothley United's Fraj Chatti made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdelwahab Melliti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ali Korbi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karim Essediri, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The supporters of Borehamwood booed when Rothley United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chedly Bouzayène didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ali Korbi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mohamed El Bez in the 30th minute. Abdelwahab Melliti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fraj Chatti in the 32nd minute of play. Karim Cherni charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karim Cherni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th minute, Karim Cherni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 35 minutes, Mohsen Ali Bourguiba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fraj Chatti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdelwahab Melliti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Mohamed Ayari's late challenge caught a Rothley United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mohamed Ayari helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Mohamed Ayari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mohamed El Bez came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Borehamwood fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohamed El Bez couldn't finish the play. Fraj Chatti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Abdelwahab Melliti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Mohsen Ali Bourguiba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abdelwahab Melliti was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Borehamwood players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rothley United were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karim Essediri was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Rothley United's goal looked a bit too open when Karim Essediri came free, but Ali Korbi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mohamed El Bez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ali Korbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohsen Ali Bourguiba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelwahab Melliti having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rothley United's Mohieddine Mkacher got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Borehamwood booed when Rothley United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dali Zaalani didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Haroune Soliman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ali Korbi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Rothley United getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Dali Zaalani hit a great ball. The corner led Borehamwood's Haroune Soliman to fire away a dangerous shot which Ali Korbi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Abdelwahab Melliti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fraj Chatti in the 78th minute. If Mohsen Ali Bourguiba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fraj Chatti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Abdelwahab Melliti made a huge save. With a little luck, Borehamwood's Abdelwahab Melliti got control of the ball when Fraj Chatti tried to sneak it across the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Rothley United's Fraj Chatti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdelwahab Melliti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohsen Ali Bourguiba in the 94th minute of play forced Borehamwood's goalkeeper Abdelwahab Melliti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Rothley United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Borehamwood throughout the match.
