Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Paddy Lemond made the kick off which started today's match. Hamilton's Robbie McTary got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Lewis McCreath managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hamilton's supporters rose to their feet, but Lewis McCreath was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Arrol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th match minute, Hawick AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quentin Murchison to maneuver through the defense. In the last second John Arrol throw himself and got hold of the ball when Lewis McCreath in the 13thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 17th minute, Lewis McCreath fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 20 minutes into the match, Hamilton's Robbie McTary sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that John Arrol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Lewis McCreath took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for John Arrol to make any attempt to save it. After 37 played minutes Hamilton got a freekick which was hit by Conor McMorran. 40 minutes into the match, James Sinclair had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jordan Cookson. Hamilton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that James Sinclair was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paddy Lemond in the 45th minute of play forced Hamilton's goalkeeper Jordan Cookson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lewis McCreath stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. John Arrol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewis McCreath, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lewis McCreath fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Arrol having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Angus Cooper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hamilton's Robbie McTary in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hawick AFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Lewis McCreath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lewis McCreath in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Arrol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lewis McCreath in the 75th minute of play forced Hawick AFC's goalkeeper John Arrol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jordan Cookson made an important save on a dangerous shot by James Sinclair in the 81st minute. Robbie McTary fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Arrol having to interfere. After 88 played minutes Hawick AFC got a freekick which was hit by Terence McBride. John Arrol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbie McTary in the 89th minute of play. If Paddy Lemond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Paddy Lemond dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jordan Cookson, 1-2.
