Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Hamilton's Lewis McCreath started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Matt Stringer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 9 minutes, Rob Gifford mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dunblane and the Hamilton players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rob Gifford kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Robbie McTary struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Mike Meikleham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hamilton. Lewis McCreath recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ross McIlriach charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ross McIlriach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Ross McIlriach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lewis McCreath kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Dunblane booed when Hamilton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugh Forrest didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dunblane's Tom Vass couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hamilton. Jordan Cookson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver McCorkill in the 30th minute of the match. Matt Stringer might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jordan Cookson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matt Stringer ran back to his position shaking his head. Jordan Cookson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliver McCorkill's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Conor McGillivray kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Jordan Cookson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matt Stringer went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Robbie McTary came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Hamilton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robbie McTary couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oliver McCorkill to strike the kick off in the second half. Matt Stringer scored 1-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jordan Cookson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Robbie McTary had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mike Meikleham. Dunblane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robbie McTary was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Robbie McTary had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Lewis McCreath managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hamilton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lewis McCreath was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Oliver McCorkill's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jordan Cookson was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Matt Stringer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Jordan Cookson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matt Stringer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Jordan Cookson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Oliver McCorkill received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jordan Cookson came out and tried to block the shot, but Oliver McCorkill slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 77th minute. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamilton's goalkeeper Jordan Cookson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Matt Stringer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st match minute, Hamilton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur McLulich to maneuver through the defense. Mike Meikleham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lewis McCreath in the 96th minute of play. Dunblane's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
