Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Paddy Lemond took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute James Sinclair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant Christie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Arrol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Borthwick in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th minute Paddy Lemond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant Christie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Moffat City's Tommy Wallis got a free kick in the 11th minute. James Sinclair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 18 minutes, James Sinclair managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hawick AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but James Sinclair was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When James Sinclair came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Hawick AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that James Sinclair couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the game, Stewart McLaren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moffat City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hawick AFC the free kick. In the 24th match minute, Moffat City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stewart McLaren to maneuver through the defense. Grant Christie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paddy Lemond went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Kyle Borthwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. John Arrol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hawick AFC's Paddy Lemond in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moffat City's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Moffat City's zone, Paddy Lemond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grant Christie came out of the goal and Paddy Lemond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paddy Lemond in the 39th minute of play forced Moffat City's goalkeeper Grant Christie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant Christie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paddy Lemond in the 42nd minute of the match. James Sinclair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Grant Christie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Kyle Borthwick made the kick off in the second half. Paddy Lemond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grant Christie having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Paddy Lemond got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. James Sinclair received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Grant Christie came out and tried to block the shot, but James Sinclair slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 64th minute. Stewart McLaren might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John Arrol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stewart McLaren ran back to his position shaking his head. John Arrol came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Moffat City's Ricky Duffie. But to his dismay, Ricky Duffie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Grant Christie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paddy Lemond in the 77th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Hawick AFC's zone, Kyle Borthwick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Arrol came out of the goal and Kyle Borthwick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Stewart McLaren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hawick AFC booed when Moffat City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Wallis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Paddy Lemond got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paddy Lemond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grant Christie having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Sinclair in the 97th minute of play forced Moffat City's goalkeeper Grant Christie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Hawick AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Moffat City throughout the match.
